- Can I just buy the leash without the collar?
Yes, of course - under "Supplementary products" and in the product description we link to the corresponding product page. Alternatively, you can also get a paracord leash in ourConfiguratorconfigure yourself.
- How is the paracord leash made?
Using a special braiding technique, four different ropes are laid twice and these 8 rope runs are intertwined. The rope ends are closed using a secure knotting technique.
Approximately 14m of rope is used per meter of dog leash.
- Can the ropes break over time?
No - Our paracords come from the USA and partly the EU. The paracords are manufactured in US Army quality and sometimes even from the same manufacturer. Paracord ropes are already very tear-resistant as standard. The braid increases this property many times over. We can therefore rule out any tearing.
- I have a special color request, how do I proceed?
If you don't like the color, we can always implement your color request. You will find a download link to our color palette in the side bar menu or in the footer of the shop. There you can look at all the paracord colors and then write to us. (WhatsApp or email)
- Why does a paracord leash cost a little more?
There are several reasons for this. We do not use Chinese paracord and rely on very good quality from the USA and the EU. The leash inherently requires a lot of material that has to be processed. Therefore, producing the leash takes a little longer and requires more time. Mind you, this leash is also 100% handmade in our factory. There are also costs for marketing, logistics, shop operations and personnel.
We believe that something is only “expensive” if you don’t get adequate value in return. This paracord leash will accompany you for a long time and is individually handcrafted for you.
- What is a paracord rope anyway?
A paracord consists of 32 braided threads in the rope sheath and 7 threads in the core of the rope. It is made of 100% nylon and is one of the high-quality and very tear-resistant yarns. It is also used, for example, in the parachute industry or as survival material.
General information about dog leashes
- How long do you need to make my leash?
Since we make all of the linen ourselves by hand and the selection of colors available is enormous, we often have to order the desired color from the supplier first. If we already have the materials in stock, it usually takes between 1-3 working days, otherwise as stated under "Delivery times", until your leash leaves our factory.
- I would like to exchange one color for another
Write to us via WhatsApp or email with your change request. Since we manufacture to order, the desired change should not be a problem.
We also offer configurators, where you can configure your leash 100% yourself.
To the configurator
- What leash length do I need for my dog?
This depends on your training goal or your personal taste and the use of the leash. If you are very motivated and often train with your dog on a leash, then we recommend a maximum leash length of 200cm. If you want to hang the leash around your neck, we recommend a length between 240cm - 300cm depending on your body type. For dogs that pull heavily on the leash, we recommend 180cm-200cm.
General information about collars
There is no reliable indicator for this, but we can give you a few helpful tips:
1. Safe, comfortable & yet not too loose.
2. It should not be able to be pulled out over your head.
3. Do not determine whether a collar fits while lying down.
4. Forget the "2-finger rule", it's nonsense and way too imprecise. You can still get them underneath when it's too tight and also when it's too loose.
5. Set the collar to the tightest setting for your dog - so that it is clearly too tight for your dog. Now move forward one step at a time.
As soon as it no longer really "sticks" to the neck and has some room for maneuver, you should no longer make it larger. It should turn without much problem.
